I love to follow nature photographers because I have deep respect for their craft. As an amateur photo hound I know this simple fact: it's hard! It takes lots of time and effort and skills to find the right light and the right composition. One photographer I particularly enjoy is Susan L. Hoel. She's a fellow sailor and appreciates the special qualities of light dancing across the water as much as I do. She kindly let me base this painting on one of her photos. Thanks Sue!
