I grew up seeing these colors. Pale golden grasses swirl beneath the light blue skies of western South Dakota. This painting is based on a photo by one of my very earliest friends, Kirsten. We were friends back when we were just little kids. Life took us in different directions, but it makes me happy to see her photos of the area where we both were raised. I hope you enjoy the results!
