This is a subject that I’ve wanted to paint for a long time. I grew up in western South Dakota, but we spent our summers in northern Wisconsin. To get there, we’d drive across the vast farmland of the Dakotas and Minnesota. This flat expanse is blessed with a dark rich topsoil that’s perfect for farming. Pretty much all you see is farms. I have strong memories of the field furrows flickering by while I stared out the car window. I hope you enjoy!
