Thunderstorm
My dad was a research meteorologist and growing up he was always excited to tell us kids about the mechanics of a thunderstorm. Whereas most people might find cover in the face of a big storm like this, we’d often be outside watching from a hilltop so as to get the best view. I’m so grateful for the gift of scientific observation that he gave to me. Thanks to photographer @elliemorrisau for letting me use her photo as inspiration for this painting. I hope you enjoy it dad!
