I’ve always wanted to paint the northern lights, so I did! I was lucky to see them in person on last year’s big canoe trip in far northern Minnesota. Ever since then, I knew I needed to paint them. They truly are magical to see and pretty fun to paint, too.
Thanks to photographer @louischarlesbuyck for letting me use one of his shots of the Aurora Borealis as a reference for this painting. Cheers!
