As you may have figured out by now, I love to paint with lots of color. It makes me happy. This beautiful sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains includes all three primary colors and their secondary compliments. Color drives the mood of a painting and this full spectrum palette is a great fit for a joyous morning scene. Thanks to photographer Cliford Mervil (@cliford.mervil) for letting me use his wonderful photo as a reference for this painting. I hope you enjoy the results!
