Lily Pads

Upon learning that I'm a painter, people will sometimes ask me what I paint. Most often my answer is that I paint pretty pictures of things I love. This might look to you to be a fairly typical northwoods lakeshore, but to me it's the view from a dock on a lake where I'm fortunate to spend a lot of quality time with my family. As summer comes to an end and the night temps drop, one of the first things to change are the lily pads along the shore. I feel lucky that I get to paint meaningful scenes like this and then share them with you. I hope you enjoy!
