When a big storm rolls across the plains it’s amazing to see a wall of heavy rain coming at you. It’s mesmerizing, but you might want to find some shelter pretty quick. I wanted to paint that moment between “oh wow!” and “oh no!”

Thanks to @timgraulphotography for letting me use his awesome photo of a heavy storm in Iowa as a reference for this painting.
