Are the Lessons Live or on DEMAND?

The lessons in the main course are prerecorded and available to view on-demand at your own pace. I have students from all over the world and if you’re anything like me, your time is precious. We believe offering content on demand is the best way for everyone to learn. Enrollment in the Landscape Painting Studio gets you exclusive access to a private community of fellow students where you’ll get timely feedback and coaching on your progress from me and others.

How much will it cost?

SHOULD I BUY MY MATERIALS BEFORE JOINING?

Many students like to hit the ground running. If you’re sure you plan to enroll, purchasing your materials ahead of enrollment can get you painting faster. Check out the what’s needed at JimMusil.com/materials.

What if I already have certain supplies used in the course (Like Paint) but they are a different brand?

If you already have some art supplies on hand and would like to use them instead of buying new ones, substituting them is absolutely fine. Just be aware it’s possible they might perform a little differently. We also provide recommended alternatives in our Supplies List. Our Materials course offers detailed explanations of each of these supplies and how we’ll be using them in depth.

Can I use oil/watercolor/gouache instead of acrylic?

Certainly! While we’ll be focusing on acrylic painting, many students are using their own preferred medium. Some of the general lessons are specific to working with acrylic paint, but all the painting courses are applicable to most mediums. Additionally, there is useful information regarding painting techniques, color mixing, and composition that applies to all mediums.

Can I sell the artwork I make in the course?

Absolutely! Many students have been selling the work they’ve created here in the Studio. I just ask that you give me credit as the original creator.

What if I have a monthly subscription and want to change to yearly?

That’s not a problem at all, just send us an email at help@jimmusil.com and we’ll be happy to make that adjustment for you.

if I cancel my membership, will I still have access to the content?

Unfortunately, we currently do not offer partial access to our course library once you've unenrolled. Our membership is like a gym or streaming service - you’ll have access to everything while you are an enrolled member of the course.

In addition to the video lessons, as an enrolled member of the course you will also receive timely and helpful feedback on your progress as well as access to our private Facebook group where students share tips and encouragement.
