ROAD CHICKEN, Acrylic on Panel, 12 x 12", ©2018 Jim Musil 🎨
"Spring" along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica is not like spring in the upper latitudes of North America. Winter in Costa Rica is still hot, but relentlessly dry for nearly 6 months. Almost everything turns into rich golds and tans. It's very dusty. When the heavy rains get ready to return in April, the trees somehow know. They begin to leaf out and some start to blossom in lovely whites, yellows and reds. There's also usually a chicken involved. I hope you enjoy!
